Description The cactus Aloe vera (aloe vera) produces showy and pastel yellow blossoms during mid spring to mid-summer. This plant is rosette in form and has showy, matte, coarse textured and evergreen foliage that is spotted medium green and greyish green in colour.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, container, house plant, tropical, vegetable garden and wild flower.
Special Characteristics Hummingbirds are attracted to Aloe vera . Aloe vera is tolerant of salt.
Cautions Thorns can make Aloe vera (aloe vera) difficult to handle and careful planning of its siting in the garden will reduce the risk of injuries to children or pets. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
