Description The "bulb, corm or tuber" Allium karataviense (turkestan onion) bears showy and faded purple blooms during late spring to early summer. The showy matte foliage is dark fuchsia and greyish green in colour, coarse in texture and aromatic. Allium karataviense (turkestan onion) has stems that are fragrant.
