Description The herbaceous perennial Aconitum carmichaelii (aconite) is repeat-blooming and bears showy and medium blue blossoms during late summer to early fall. The semi-gloss - glossy foliage is dark green in colour and coarse in texture.
Typical Uses Accent, bedding plant, bog, border, container, cut flowers, mass planting, pond and woodland.
Special Characteristics Aconitum carmichaelii tolerates wet sites, and is noted for being naturally resistant to deer and rabbits. In the fall, Aconitum carmichaelii offers a beautiful display of autumn colour.
Cautions Be aware that this herbaceous perennial is poisonous or toxic. Plan its application carefully if you have children or pets.
