Description The herbaceous perennial Achillea clavennae (silvery yarrow) is repeat-blooming and bears showy, white and fragrant blooms during mid-summer to early fall. The showy matte foliage is greyish green and light grey in colour, fine in texture, fragrant and semi-evergreen.
Typical Uses Alpine or rock garden, border, container, dried flowers and edging.
Special Characteristics Butterflies are attracted to Achillea clavennae .
Cautions The growth rate of Achillea clavennae (silvery yarrow) is fast and you should plan for this in your garden design and layout. Self-sowing, this plant can spread broadly and randomly where conditions are ideal for the seeds to germinate. However, this can be a benefit if you plan to use this plant in naturalizations.
